Getting married in a cathedral?

It's been my life dream to get married in a cathedral. But I don't belong to a cathedral nor do I want to. I've also found out that you have to also live in the area that you wanted to be married in. Does anyone know of anything cathedral that wouldn't mind if you don't live near it and/or don't have to participate in?
