What's the longest chemical name you've ever encountered?
I know there are lots of polymers with different parts and lots of lines of N-(1,3-dimethylbutylidene)-N'-[2-[(1,3-d… etc, but I was looking through the declassified EPA chemical list and I've found an even longer word than antidisestablishmentarianism: Bisphenoxypolyalkylideneglycol, it's sad but I've practised pronouncing it too lol, it's bis-phen-oxy-poly-alky-lidene-glycol, I know an even longer one too DDT: dichlorodiphenyltrichrloroethane, di-chloro-di-phenyl-tri-chloro-ethane - do you know of any longer individual names of real chemicals?
