Believe me, at your age, the worst she can do is say "no". If you don't ask her, you'll regret it. I can't tell you how many times in my now adult life that I've went back and talked to someone that I went to school with that has asked "did you have a thing for me when we were in school together?", and when I told them "yes", I've almost always got as a response "If you'd asked me out then, I would have said yes!" You never know what NOT asking that question will lead to, so jump on in, I promise it will be ok either way!
