Our new kitten has fleas, help?

so she's been hiding pretty much behind our tv stand since we got her. we got her at around 2pm yesterday and didn't notice the fleas until around 10pm. i did the testing, i put her on top of a white piece of paper and rubbed her fur and the little black specks came out and when i put water on them, they did reveal blood. she is 2 months old and i already had a 2 month old male here and when they layed down for the first time together was when we noticed the fleas. my male kitten is beige so i showered him and found 1. it was very visible though, since his coat is beige. do you think there are more on him? they layed down together no more than a half hour. now i kept the kittens seperated in case the male doesn't have any. i'm buying a shampoo to kill the fleas, now do i have to wash her more than once a day or several times a week? and i'm going to be cleaning my entire living room and vacuuming like crazy. any tips on how i should go about this? the kitten with fleas has only been in the living and i understand that i have to wash any types of bedding, curtains, and blankets. i know there's probably not that many right now so i want to treat it ASAP because i never had fleas in my house so i know treating the outdoors won't be necessary.
