What is the reason for Americans converting to Islam?

Peace philosophy? Why not convert to American Amish or Mennonite faiths? What is the drawing power? Admittedly Amish are not as conducive because of old-fashioned lifestyle, but Mennonites are as modern as the rest of the world, with cars, electricity, etc. Neither have participated in any war since their formation., seems more peaceful than any church.
